Bleep Bleep Bleep

When I was getting my tyres fitted onto my bike, there were some Motorcycle police in front of me getting there tyres done, During the time that all 6 of there bikes had new tyres fitted we got talking, and we were discussing various bike stuff, One of the boys in blue [There boss by the look of him] said to me and his 5 subordinates, “Do You Know Why The Bikes Don’t Have A Bleep Tone Anymore When You Have Your Indicators On”? There was not a murmur from his boys and i did not have a clue Have to admit never had a bike with this fitted, but it was a devise that when you pressed the Left of Right Indicators on the Handle bars an Audible tone could be heard and this would stay on until you turned it off. Well it turned out that it was the very same tone that the Pedestrian Crossings used to warn Blind/Partially Sited people that they could walk across, It appears there had been a few instances when they had heard this noise when the guy on the bike had failed to turn his bleeper off, and had stepped in front of his bike, I should not laugh but can you image the scenario, the guys either parks his bike or picks it up off the floor runs across to the Man/Women he has just ran over, and i will say 99 times out of a 100 he will say as i’ve said it time and time myself, “Are You F***ing Blind or What” can you imagine there face when the man/Women says actually yes. ** Can i just point out i have not actually run any blind people over, Yuppies in the City yes, and i’ve lost count of the amount of people who i have hit or they have ran into my bike whilst running for cabs.
