New Boots

Well i finally got around to fitting some new "BOOTS" to my bike; Boots are tyres for the uneducated of you. At one time all i ever used were Michelin T66's by far a very good tire, they stopped making the T66's and came out with the Anekee's a tire that i just did not get on with, they gave no feedback from the road, Anyway last year i swapped to Bridgestone’s Trail Wings to try, well today they finally gave up the ghost and had to be changed. As you can see from the Pictures the old rear tyre was well and truly worn out. Also if you have every wondered how low you can go on a bike, check out the edge of the old rear tyre, I was that low that the gear shift was ground away on the end As you can see there is hardly any tread left on the old tyre on the Left Hand Side, however on the Right Hand Side i now have a nice new Sticker set [A set of tyres with the ID marks on them] If you look at the left hand picture you can see how far i pushed that tyre, any closer to the edge and it would have rolled off the rim , And now look at the Right Hand Side and you can clearly see the difference. only trouble is now i have to bed them in for around 200 odd miles to get them scrubbed up, otherwsie it will be a trip down the road on my arse.
