Media Player
I’ve been looking at buying a Media pc for some time now, anyway whilst out on Wednesday i noticed a Hard Disk Media system in the local computer shop, Plays, Divx, Xvid, Mpegs, and also plays music as well, 250 Gig hard drive, 5.1 sound, and a neat Remote control, only real down side is that it only Connects via Component Video, and you have to use USB to transfer, which we all know takes ages, Never the less still very good.
Onscreen i was amazed, real simple on screen menu, press directory, move the selection down to the Video / Title you wish to watch, press play and there you go, looks really good i was well impressed, all this for £129.99 .
One limitation i have found is that you can only have a limited Folder Title, but that’s hardly the end of the world.
Connection wise, ive run a long USB 2 Cable around from the rear of the Unit behind the TV and along under the carpet with the other cables, and connected into one of PC's Now all you have to do is just switch the AV ~ USB switch, and once the pc sees the Hard drive, just drag and drop the file into the Directory, once done, flip the switch back to Av, and your done.
We are all happy, its real simple to use just switch the TV input over to the correct one, Select the directory, and then select the episode, Another good part of it is if you just press play on the directory it plays all the files in that directory one after the other.
