Let’s just say that last week we spent most of the week doing Conferences, Tuesday was Barclays which was a long day but a good challenge although we were all beat when we finished, So after dealing with at least 8 different DVD’s 6 different laptops, and god knows how many CD’s it all went well, During one presentation my colleague spent most of the time berating her about the extortionate rates that they charge, it was funny, i don’t think she appreciated it but it was funny. And a Quote that i must add to our famous Quote board at work although he will deny saying it, The Quote “Is there Video on this Video” had to be the best of the day. On a final note about the Barclays’ gig, among all the technical stuff we had to do, we also had to provide them with some background music, our choice was limited, until Cinemec plugged in his Ipod, all was going well until he started playing his Gay Anthem Collection, which we took no time at all to start ripping him apart for having such a collection. Wednesday was a Universal day, showing new trailers, films and finally Hot Fuzz, Thursday i had Channel 4, by Thursday i was knackered so when the bint from C4 arrived with a Laptop circa 1880, the trusted IBM i swear i thought it was Black and white, needless to say after being told numerous time what they needed, the plan as ever changed, so after editing there presentation i sussed that it would look better with a frozen image on the screen. Friday I spent most of the morning in meetings with my GM and then in the Afternoon, it was Interviews, all was going well until No:3 Candidate like all the other he was supplied with a letter the mandatory 7 days prior to the interviews, the said letter stated what time and exact location his interview was, so at 15:20 me and my Senior were sat there waiting, those of you who know me know i hate lacklustre time keeping so i was going to bump him at 15:26 he called me on the radio ask when we / i / Someone was going down to get him, i cant remember the exact wording i used but it certainly made Cinemec laugh, Anyway needless to say Candidate No:03 would have beaten Carl Lewis out of the blocks judging by the speed he got up there. Saturday was just the normal humdrum, Sunday was a slep over to North Yorkshire to see Mater and Pater, and after the stocking the boot with enough food to equip a small polar expedition. And after giving up with my Orange SPV C600 as its crap, well to be honest, i properly did not help it by installing a new Rom update, so as a warning those of you who did happen to own a C600 don’t update the rom as it amazingly manages to not only Suck but also Blow as well, oh trust me it shafts your phone, and as those of you who are technically savvy know that once the rom has been flashed it cant be unflashed, clearly not only a note to self never to do that again, but also to the software coders from Orange , how F***ing hard can it be to make it reversible. I like to Sony phones my K750 lasted well even when the camera broke, i did not give up, however i will also mention that when waiting at the local Bupa Hospital to have a wisdom tooth removed back in Nov 2005, i dropped the bloody phone and the camera worked again. So going back to the K800i it’s a sort of stop gab as im still undecided if i should get the 990i or the Nokia E61, or get rid of all mobile phones so i don’t have to run my bloody life around them. And next week, well i get to spend the next two nights up-close and personal with a Lung Coughing, James Last loving, Perri-Perri adoring engineer. And finally having you been Watching American Idol, god ive seen some freaks from around my travels, but i have to say America wins hands down, To date Alabama has to be the best, Mark O if your reading this there was some loves of your life there “Chunky Chicks” , I have not laughed some much in ages Well that’s me folks, I’ll catch you on the rebound Echo11
