The Apprentice

The new season of the apprentice started last night, Kick arse Sir Alan was in fine form, Oh how was that poor project manager Andy of the girls team got well and truly stitched up, Trying to flog Coffee, ordering 20 litres of milk properly was not the best deal in of a life time, one of the team players was a Quantum Physicist , she wanted to order 200 Litres of milk, you could have filled a swimming pool with that amount Still it was fun, after meeting Ruth Badger last year which was an experience to say the least i felt sorry for him, but then again they are all up for £100K job.

Today was yet a early start, for yet another conference, this time for a pension company, all did not start well, got all the gear into the screen only to find the cleaners had not cleaned the screen, so that was my Que, so after seeking down the Cleaning supervisor and basically telling her what i thought of her cleaning operation, only to be given the normal bull shit excuses, which as any of you know me, is my green light to let rip.

All is going well until we try the laptop sound which had more unbalance hum than a 66,000V mains line, so after some messing around with a Balance box all was good to go.

Whilst setting the gear up one of the conf assistance was making his pitch to me , fishing for a job, and i have to say he was doing a pretty god job, saying all the right things and that, anyway in the afternoon we started the second session, and the Conference assonant was really laying it on well, anyway after telling me what he could do , i though maybe id give him a try, off he went down the stairs and promptly kicked out the XLR cable for the Mic, Mr Conf Professional who had just spent the last 30 mins trying to sell himself to me then started to look at the wrong cable, still it was fixed after i just reconnected the XLR cable.

Ive done some pretty bad conferences, but this one was hard going, im mean how much can you talk for 2 hours about pensions, i then had to do it all again in the afternoon.
