What Do U Want To Do 2Day

During the last few weeks we needed a new Printer for our ops room, well the printer turned up but would not run on the run down system we have, so last week ive rebuilt our Operations room and PC as there’s is shagged big time, anyway this done i loaded the much heralded new printer drivers into and we took it down stairs, now at this point i must point out something never ever underestimate how much a Duty Manager can balls any mechanical/electrical device up.

So the system was installed and the two managers and the two team leaders present were given the new password which was “Technical”, im sure you would agree a pretty simple word to remember, well you would have through that as not 30 mins later i received a phone call to ask what the password was, i swear it never ceases to amaze me, anyway after change the password again this time to “TECHNICAL” they managed to get it going, during this time i logged a call with our ASSIST department now you would think with the word assist they would actually assist, this is usually can you turn it off and on and reboot, which is about as far as there assist ethics go, Anyway i was asking them to load the Antivirus program on to the system, this is when he drops the bomb shell that we cant actually use the operating system that i painstakingly installed onto the computer, So after spending a few days building and installing the system only to find it about as much use as a boar pig with tits, anyway after telling my GM that he had his Ops room Pc up and running, i then had to tell him yea he had his Ops room Pc unfortunately he’s only got it until Monday, As i then have to remove Server 2003 and install XP, like there’s a big difference , maybe its me but i would have thought that we needed a more secure operating system like Server 2003, which might i just add they asked me to F***ing install , So lets just say i was not the best impressed, oh and then to get the bastard thing to see the network we had to change the password yet again.

So the moral of the story is this, if your ops room pc breaks done, bloody leave it alone, it will only get you back later on. Personally im going to piss on it tomorrow morning when i go into work
