It’s been a while since i brought some new toy to play with, so iv been on the look out for an Upscaling DVD player with HDMI.

Well finally settled on the Samsung HD870, and im impressed for such a good price, Optical, HDMI, S-Video, and Component. Tested a few classic DVD’s on it Golden Eye, Flags of our fathers and I’ve got a cool Dolby/DTS/THX test DVD so used that to put it through it paces.

Whist riding into work on Monday i felt something twang when i pulled the clutch in to change down gear, playing on the safe side i brought a new clutch cable and changed it today, guess i must have been luck as it held out for 69192 Miles which aint bad .

As you can see from the picture there can’t have been more than 2 strands still attached
