Anyway basically those who work for “PEFPO” [Think About It !!!, Remember HAL, From 2010] had a chance to enter the competition, it was narrowed down to 11 Clips of about 5 mins long, they had to contain the words “You Cant Handle The Truth”, or a COW in the shot.
With rehearsal on Wednesday which basically meant me and FMM setting most of our equipment up to then sit around a shoot the breeze for 3 hours, and then pack it all away, ready for the next day, So Thursday morning arrived very very fast indeed, having arrived at work just prior to 06:45 I was already thinking this was going to be a long day, We had managed to hire in most of the local AV Hire company’s equipment in for these two day,
Also on Wednesday the Senior Vice President popped along to talk about some new projects we will be working on in 2008, this guy has a budget of £20 Million + for next year which im hoping I get a nice slice of it to spend.
Because of the sheer amount of equipment we were using we needed to hire in a Distro Kit which gives you 63amps of power split across 3 phases, during the event we were pulling so much power that one of the mains cables from the distro kit was so bloody hot it was unreal,
and due to the small space we were all packed into i was sat on a small mountain of cable. Also FMM did comment that we could have powered half of the city with this unit, or a small 3rd world country.
During the event we were using a talk back system, a discreet comms system and with such an intense event we were all pretty much on edge, so during a few of the video we were all making the normal comments and remarks about certain thing when at one stage a comment was made and we were on the floor laughing, the guy on the VT nearly fell off his seat FMM was in tears and the guy behind me calling the prompts was crying with laughter, this is all well and good when your in the pub, but its hard to contain your laughing when its all very quite. I was really pleased it all went off very well and when finished we all were so bloody tired, however we all got a very big bottle of champagne each which was a real nice gesture and a rare one at that might I add. I was even if I admit it myself well and truly knackered on Friday.
Still im on Holiday next week FMM
