How Hard Is Air

Soft i hear you say, really are you sure, have you heard of the phenomenon called Cavitation? Or the formation of air bubbles in a flowing liquid

What does it do well look at the two pictures below, the first one is what is left of a Pump Impeller after 18 months use, the damaged is caused only by air bubbles. As you can see the new impeller looks nice and shiny with smooth surfaces and impeller blades that are straight.

The water we use its not normal tap water either it’s distilled, and filtered through a two big ass purification filters. So its not contamination in the water causing.

As you can see from the close up, the damage is pretty bad, well the water breaks away the bits of the brass impeller and the causes the bits to be circulated around the system, as you can imagine this is not good for it. So next time you thinking about water remember its not as inocent as it makes out
